My Pregnancy: Week 31

I have just started my 32nd week so I decided to write about the week that just passed by. I started my 31st week with an exhausting weekend. My husband, brothers and I did a major clean up at home and then started putting on the wall paper for the baby’s room. We also put the crib together. I got a tree wallpaper and some cute alphabets. I looked around everywhere and found the best deal for wallpapers on Amazon. I made sure the reviews were positive for the ones I wanted to get and it was better than expected once we put it together. We decided to keep the crib in our room for the first two months and then move it in to the baby’s room. A lot of people keep telling us that they also intended to do the same and keep the crib in their room for a couple of months and then ended up having it for over a year. Did any of you guys have the same problem? I’m pretty confident that I will stick with my plan but we will see how it goes as time passes by. I also ordered hand painted wooden letters for the baby’s name but have not received it yet. I will post a picture of that and more information once I receive it and put it up.So that wrapped up our weekend and it was back to work timeL. We met up with afinancial advisor on Tuesday to look into life insurance and RESP options and we are still shopping around before making our final decision. Then on Wednesday we finally started the prenatal classes we signed up through the City of Peel. It is free of charge and is run by a nurse. So if any of you are interested, make sure to check out the availability in your city and book as soon as you can since some of these classes fill up pretty quick. We went to the class and were told to bring a yoga mat and a pillow.

There were about another six couples all are due around the same month or so. The nurse went over some information related to early pregnancy, explained the different tests that we have taken or yet to be taken and allowed us to share our thoughts and ideas. One of the activity consisted of the men writing their list of 5 things that they hate and love about pregnancy and then us writing our own list. We then compared the list as a whole and share our thoughts. The last segment of the class consisted of breathing and relaxation techniques which included massages and relaxing music. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who is expecting a child. They provide a lot of reading materials, resources available, pregnancy related information and other classes related to pregnancy and expecting a child.Week 31 was almost coming to an end and to wrap it up my husband and I went to Babies R Us on Friday to check out Baby Fest sale. And luckily we found out that the crib mattress and the bath tub we purchased were on sale and received a price match. We also bought our travel system (Graco Quattro Tour Travel System – Chadwick) which was $100 less than the regular price. I will do a review on the travel system once we start using it. In the meantime if any of you already have this system, feel free to share your review!!
