My Baby Shower

 I was finally in my 30^th week and my brother offered to take me for pregnancy photo shoot at the park. Although I was not considering a photo shoot during pregnancy, I thought it would be nice to have some pictures to show my daughter. So on Saturday August 25, 2012, I dressed up and went along with my brother to a park near the lake. We finished taking pictures and came to my mom’s house. The street seemed busy with a lot of parked cars and I thought someone was just having a party and entered the house. The minute I opened the door I heard everyone scream “surprise”. That’s when I realized the cars parked were there for my baby shower. I headed upstairs and the living room was nicely decorated in pink colour. The table had nice baby themed cupcakes, diaper cakes along with other neat items. My friend came up and started off the baby shower with baby related games. We played baby related jeopardy, relay etc. and all my friends and family took part which made it even more fun. Following the games, everybody went and had their supper/dinner and some of the people started leavinglittle by little. It was about night time and we all sat around taking pictures and talked about the joys and pains of pregnancy.

 

 

We then decided to go through all the gifts and I received so many gifts from clothes, bouncer, books, bathing accessories, diaper genie, gift cards, cash etc. It was really exciting to go over cute little clothes, of course mostly in pink! The rest of the guests started to take off little by little and the night came to an end. I was told that the shower was organized by my best friend, husband, brother and some other friends. They put together an amazing shower and it was a nice break during the last leg of race in pregnancy. I realized how lucky I’m to have such great family and friends.
