Wedding Video Shoot
Marriage is an important event in life and we wanted to make sure to treasure that moment forever while having some fun. We did a short video montage for our engagement and loved it so we decided to do a complete one for our wedding to be played at our reception. We worked with Fantasy Videos (www.fantasyvideo.ca) for our engagement and we were pleased with the videos and had him shoot our wedding video as well. We decided to have the story line be based on how we met but added a touch of humour and exaggeration.
With all the other preparation, work and studies timing wasn’t working too well and it was already May 2011 and our wedding was on June 4th of 2011. On top it all, my friends and I booked a trip to Vegas for my bachelorette. So we decided to have the photo shoot over on a weekend and try to get as much of it done as possible and chose Thousand Islands as our primary location. I wanted to wear a Saree (traditional outfit) for at least part of the video and wore it from home since my mom always puts it on for me. Once we reached Thousand Islands, we came across a very fancy cottage with nice bridges right by the lake and shot some parts there. Then we came across some nice orangish hill by a small road and made use of that spot as well. We then went on to rent a boat and had more shoots on the boat and other islands.
We stayed there that night and headed to Sand Banks beach to have some more video shoot the following day. That pretty much completed our weekend and we got majority of the parts done. The following week, we got some more shoots done around our neighbourhood and eagerly waited for the final product which would be played at our wedding for the first time. Although, the weekend was tiring and hectic it was a weekend to remember. Looking back at it now makes me realize how much fun it was and how much I miss preparing for my wedding. Do any of you guys miss yourwedding planning or hate it all together and glad that it’s over? Feel free to share details of your special day!!
